BUSINESS IMMIGRATION

An individual who has had at least 10 years continuous lawful residence in the UK may be granted indefinite leave to remain (under Para 276 B Immigration Rules) on the ground of long residence provided that there are no public interest reasons why such leave should not be granted. 

BUSINESS IMMIGRATION

FOR BUSINESSPERSONS, WORKERS AND INVESTORS INTENDING TO TRANSACT BUSINESS, WORK, OR INVEST IN UK

 SKILLED WORKERS VISA  

   

 This visa category is for those who want to come to, or stay in the UK for work purpose. To qualify under this category, the applicant should satisfy certain requirements. ·       


ELIGIBILITY ·       


  • You must have a job offer with an approved employer in the UK . The employer's licence should be appropriate to sponsor skilled workers.·    The employer must issue you a certificate of sponsorship with information about the role.
  •    
  • The applicant must be paid a minimum salary of £25,600 or the going rate for the offered job, whichever is higher. It is possible to apply if you earn at least £20,480 but less than £25,600 if your job falls under shortage occupation bracket.

 ENGLISH LANGUAGE 

     

  • You must prove that you can speak, write, read, and understand English at level B1. You can achieve this by presenting a degree taught in English. Additional step is required if the degree was obtained outside the UK. You can also prove knowledge of English language by passing Secured English Language Test·   

     

MAINTENANCE/SAVINGS 


  • You may be required to show that you have £1,270 available to support yourself in the UK. If your family members are coming with or joining you, extra savings between £315 and £285 may be required.· 

 FEES AND PROCESSING TIME 


  •    The fee for this application differs depending on where you are applying from. Applications made from outside the UK ranges from £610 to £1,220 and could be processed within 3 weeks , while applications made within the UK will cost between £704 and £1,220 and could be processed within 8 weeks.

GLOBAL TALENT


Persons who are considered as leaders or potential leaders in the fields of arts, culture , digital technology and research/academia can apply for global talent visa, provided the person is at least 18 years. Person wishing to apply for Global Talent should first be endorsed as a leader or potential leader in a relevant field unless the person has once received a recognised award 


DURATION


  • The visa could be granted for 5 years and the person can settle in the UK after 3 or 5 years o residence depending on the field the person works in. 

APPLICATION


  • Application can be made from within or outside the UK. The visa can be extended. A person on a different visa route can apply to switch to Global Talent.

SPOUSE AND CHILDREN


  • The partner and children of the person can apply to join or remain in the UK as  dependants.   


The visa could be granted for 5 years and the person can settle in the UK after 3 or 5 years o residence depending on the field the person works in.

SKILL

SOLE REPRESENTATIVE VISA


You can apply under this head if you are the sole representative of a company planning to set up a branch or wholly owned subsidiary in the UK. You can also apply if you are an employee of an oversea newspaper, news agency or broadcasting organisation posted on long term assignment to the UK. ·       


ELIGIBILITY ·       


To be eligible for this type of visa you must:withouclaimin


  • Prove knowledge of English language either by passing an approved test at CEFR Level A1 or having a degree taught in English·       


REQUIREMENTS

  • You should be recruited outside of the UK by an active or trading entity


  • You have the requisite skills experience, and knowledge to perform the role.

·      

  • You should hold a senior position in that business but should not own it or the majority its shareholding.

  • You are coming to the UK to open a branch or wholly owned subsidiary·  The visa can be granted for 3 years with option to extend for another 2 years . You can apply to settle in the UK after 5 years. Your family can join you in the UK.

 INNOVATOR VISA


Persons with unique business idea intending to start and run innovative business in the UK may apply for this visa. Persons who would have qualified under the old Entrepreneur Visa (Tier 1) may now have to resort to Innovator Visa if they want to set up or run business in the UK as the Entrepreneur visa has been scrapped. The business or business idea must be endorsed by an endorsing body in the UK.

 GRANT AND FEES 



  • This leave or visa may be granted for 3 years and may lead to settlement after 3-year residence in the UK. Application can be made both from within and outside the UK.

  • There is a Home Office fee for this including Immigration Health Surcharge.

Family of the applicant may apply to join the applicant.
